Release Blitz: Disclaim by Pam Godwin (Review + Giveaway)

Hi, everyone! I've got a new book to share with you guys, and it's one of the best books I've read this year. Disclaim by Pam Godwin is a dark romance book that will have you feeling hot and heavy in no time, and the action will have you on your toes! Check it out below!

Camila was seventeen when Van Quiso kidnapped her. Ten years after her escape, the shackles refuse to release her. Not while there are still slave traders preying on her city. She will stop at nothing to end them. Even if that means becoming a slave again.
Returning to chains is her worst fear—and only option. They won’t know who she is or what she intends to do. She’s prepared for every complication. Except him. The one who decimated her sixteen-year-old heart..

Matias is charming, gorgeous, and dangerously seductive. He’s also untrustworthy and enshrouded in secrets. After years of no contact, he finds her—on her knees, wrists bound, in the clutches of her enemy. Will he sabotage her mission by needlessly saving her? Or will he keep her in chains and never let her go?.

Warning: Graphic sex and violence. Age 18+ only It is recommended to read after Deliver & Vanquish, but it can be read as a stand-alone.

My Thoughts:

**An eARC was provided by author in exchange of an honest review**

I'm a huge Pam Godwin fan. I've read most of her books, and I've loved them all. Disclaim was no different. I went into the book knowing the kind of darkness to be expected of it, and as a fan of dark books, I was more than excited to dive into it. Even knowing all of that, Disclaim still blew me away.

This book is about Camilla, a girl sold into slavery at a young age. She's been introduced in the earlier books in the series, and we've had a glimpse of her. Now, her story is getting told and there's more to her than I'd ever thought. Before Camilla was kidnapped, she was in love with Matias, a guy she grew up and someone who was ripped away from her suddenly. When she's saved, she doesn't seek him out, instead, she goes on a mission to rid her city of slavery. What she doesn't expect is to see Matias, many many years after they were torn apart. He's changed now, grown hard and cold and not the same boy she fell in love with, but the attraction is still there. Not only that, but she knows he's involved in a trafficking ring and now she has to decide what means more to her, the boy she fell in love with or the cause that she dedicated most of her life for.

I fell in love with this book from the first chapter. It started with a glimpse of Matias dealing with the kidnapping of his childhood sweetheart, and then thrusts us into the now where we see Camilla in action.

I really liked Camilla. She's strong and she's a fighter. She knows what she wants and she goes for it, be it saving other girls from slavery, or the man she has feelings for, and even then, she fought him every step of the way even when her body wanted to submit to him. I can't actually fault her. Matias is a dangerous and irresistible man. He's dominant, he's head-strong and he's got a butt load of secrets. I struggled with my feelings for him right along with Camilla. I couldn't be sure if he was a good guy or a bad guy or what side he was on. But one thing I knew for sure, he loved Camilla and he was ready to do everything for her. Sometimes, his actions hurt, but the end goal was always the same; keep Camilla safe.

To say that I fell for him would be an understatement. I love a protective, dominant, possessive and all around a manly man guy, which Matias is. He made the pages burn hot with his intensity and sexiness, and I could feel the chemistry and buried feelings he and Camilla shared. I couldn't read the book without having a fan on because things always got burning hot. And when they weren't I was sitting on the edge of my seat, my eyes glued to the screen as I read every word, trying and failing to predict what was going to happen next and what was really going on. In the end, I found that none of my speculation were even remotely close to the real thing and I was surprised by what was really happening.

It's one of the things that hooked me in this book. It had sexiness, it had hotness, it had darkness, it had strong characters and it had enough action to make it dangerously addictive. I could not get enough of it or the world Pam Godwin created. I can't wait fot the next book in this series, and I'm already counting the days for more.
