Friday Night Date with Troy from 53 Letters For My Lover

Hi, guys and welcome to a new blog feature called Friday Night Date! This feature will be hosted once a month on a Friday, here on In My Secret -Book- World were I will be interviewing one of our most loved book boyfriends.

This month, my date is Troy from the 53 Letters For My Lover by Leylah Attar. This guy...where do I even start? He made my heart hurt, he made me swoon and I fell for him so hard, I can't ever think about him without having a dreamy face on. Below, you can see exactly why I love this guy so much.

Me: Hi, Troy and welcome to In My Secret -Book- World! I'm so happy to go on this date with you and I have lots of questions to ask, so be prepared.

Me: Ok let's start this date with an easy, and a little weird, question. I love food, and I hear what a man eats says a lot about him, so if I were to look inside your refrigerator, what would I find?

Troy: Thanks, Aseel. Did you just ask me what I like to eat and then try to direct my thoughts to the refrigerator? I can tell you, it's not in my fridge!

*Blushes* *giggles*

Me: If you ask me, I'd say you're totally perfect, but if I ask you, what's your best and worst qualities?

Troy: My best quality? I'm told I can charm the frown off Grumpy Cat, but I have yet to try it. My worse quality? I can charm the frown off Grumpy Cat and that would be the death of internet memes. I mean, look at that face.

Me: What would the closest person to you say about you?

Troy: I'm sure she'd say something if I'd let her come up for air, but why talk when you can kiss?

Me: There were a lot of decisions made in your life, some good and some bad, so if you went back in time, what would you do or not do?

Troy: I haven't always done the right thing. At the same time, I don't regret the path I've taken because it's got me where I've always wanted to  be—with the woman I love beside me.

Me: Alright, enough with the serious questions, let's move on to what I like most, weird questions. If you were a woman for one day, what would you do?

Troy: I'd spend the entire day deciphering my thoughts so when I went back to being a man, I'd have the blueprint to understanding what goes on in your delicious minds.

Me: If you could commit a crime and get away with it, what would it be? I probably should have warned you from the beginning that I ask a lot of weird and awkward questions, but now you know to expect more weird.

Troy: Haha. You're determined to get me in trouble. I did commit a crime and get away with it once—I broke into someone's private property so I could sit on their pier and watch the fireworks with the most beautiful girl in the world.

Me: Everybody has them, some are horrible, others are funny, but what was your awkward sexual moment like?
Troy: Ummm……my most awkward sexual moment earned me my nickname. Scary Cherry. Nuff said.

Me: If you weren't happily married, which celebrity would you get naughty with?
Troy: It would be a toss up between Eva Green (those eyes are bewitching) and Sara Shahi (because she reminds me of Shayda).

Me: What turns you on?

Troy: Everything! Apart from the obvious, the way a woman laughs, that distant look when she's deep in thought, how she snuggles up next to you when she's cold, or sick, or sad, the off-tune singing when she thinks no-one's listening. In bed, kiss my neck, leave little bites on my skin, trail your nails down my back, give me those breathless, soundless moans. Oh yeah.

*Is it just me or is it getting hot in here?*

Me: What's the worst thing somebody walked in on you doing?

Shayda send me a naughty package at work one time. I was trying to figure out one of the sex toys when a client walked in. It sat on the desk between us, the entire meeting. He picked it up as he was leaving and said, "Interesting sculpture." Fortunately, he was as clueless as me.

Me: And to more normal question, did you have an imaginary friend?

I'm not allowed to say. I promised to never discuss him.

Me: Do have a pet peeve?

Troy: People who keep complaining about the same thing, over and over again. Life is too short to be miserable. If you don't like it, change it. If you can't change it, adjust your attitude and move on. Good things happen when you decide to be happy.

Me: What's your guilty pleasure?

Me: Sorry if I exhausted you with questions, so now is your chance to ask me any question you want.

Troy: Love your name. What does it mean?

Me: *Blushes* thanks! My name is Arabic and roughly translated means the eye of the water, or the source of the water.

Me: Alright, let's move on to the Quickies!

Me: Boxers or briefs?

Troy: Boxers in the winter. Bare in the summer.

*Yep, it's getting hot in here*

Me: Tea or coffee?

Troy: Coffee. Black. All the way.

Me: Cars or women?

Troy: Women!

Me: Ice cream or chocolate?

Troy: Chocolate.

Me: Pop or rock?

Troy: Rock.

Me: Football or soccer?

Troy: Soccer.

Me: Blond or brunette?

Troy: I'm an equal opportunity admirer.

Me: NYC or LA?

Troy: LA, baby.

Me: Boobs or butt?

Troy: Butt

Me: Leather or lace?

Troy: Skin

Me: Chicken or steak?

Troy: Steak

Me: Tub or shower?

Troy: Shower

Me: And this is it! Thank you, Troy, for taking the time off your busy schedule to go on this date with me! I had a blast and I hope you had fun too!
