What if the person who stole your heart wasn't who you thought they were?

When my parents passed away, I grew up fast. Learning to stand on my own two feet has been a challenge, but I'm making it... my way. I make no apologies for the path I've chosen. My choices have served me well, but no one knows the real me.

Except one man.

He's a mystery to me. He's controlling, demanding, and he has me wrapped around his little finger. Anything he wants, I'll give it to him. The hours we share together aren't about love. It's just sex. Hot, dirty, passionate sex. It was never supposed to be anything more than that.Until everything changed.

Now, I'm more confused than ever. The more I learn about him, the less I seem to understand. What I do know is that I'm falling, and I have the feeling when I land, it's going to hurt.

My Thoughts:

I loved this book! When I read the blurb for Dance For Me, I knew it was a book I wanted to read. The idea of two people meeting just for sex, without knowing each other's names, age or anything else really intruding me and when I started this book, I was even more intrigued and I couldn't put it down.

Dance For Me is about Joe, a girl who'd lost both her parents by the age of eighteen and works as a stripper to pay for her college tuition. One of her usual customer is Mystery Man. She knows nothing about him, not even his name, the only thing she knows is his body. Their relationship is built on pure sex, until he starts his new job as her art professor and she comes to know him as Professor Scott. Soon, their relationship turns into more than just sex, and just when they think they have it all, it comes crashing down on them.

I loved the writing. This is the first book by J.C. Valentine I've ever read, and I know it's not going to be the last. Her writing is smooth and flows and it had me hooked from the first chapter. I loved how she easily blended Joes life as a stripper and then her different personality as a college student. Not many authors can do that, so kudos to J.C. Valentine. Joe is a girl that is usually shy, but she loves dancing and gets a thrill from taking her clothes off for strangers, especially knowing her Mystery Man is watching. I really liked her, she's normal and deals with everyday life like the rest of us and is someone that everyone can relate to. I really liked her, but not her Mystery Man. While I absolutely thought he was hot, his caveman tendencies were an enormous turn on, his a-holishness was not. I wanted to strangle him most of the time and maybe even kick him in the nuts, but the few times he showed his nice side, I totally fell for him. There is absolutely no denying the chemistry between the two, the scenes between them could burn off the pages. The man can turn from scorching hot to heart-stoppingly sweet so fast he gave me whiplashes.

Dance For Me is a very hot read that will keep you on your toes and turning pages to see what happens in the end. Even though I expected the ending and cliffhanger and had my suspicions very early on in the book, I couldn't stop reading to see what was going to happen and how everyone would take it. I can't wait for the next book, and I think it's going to be even better than this one.
