Book Review: Remy by Katy Evans

Title: Remy
Author: Katy Evans
Series: Real #3
Genre: NA, Contemporary, Romance
Publication: November 26th 2013 by Gallery Books

Summary (Goodreads):
Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.

Through it all, there's been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he's ever had to fight for.

My Thoughts:

It's no secret how much I love Remy or how big a fan I am of Katy Evans. I loved both Real and it's sequel, Mine, and I wanted to read more about the characters I fell in love with. So as soon as I got the chance to get inside the head of one of my absolute favorite characters ever, I delved right into it.

Remy is Real and Mine told from Remington's POV but with new never seen before scenes that happen after Mine. It starts with his first meeting with Brooke Dumas and we follow their journey as they fall in love, overcome the obstacles preventing them from being together and build a life together.

This was a very beautiful book that I absolutely loved. Even though I already knew what was going to happen, how and when, I still could not put this book down. I was sucked in from the beginning by Remy's voice and Katy's writing. I could not stop reading. Remy is more vulnerable than I ever thought while Real and Mine. Inside his head, a battle was going on. He hated himself, hated how his body betrayed him and didn't think very highly of himself. Reading his thought and feelings had me in tears throughout the whole book. It broke my heart seeing how much he loved and how good he was and how he didn't see himself for who he was but rather someone with a disability who didn't deserve anything good in life. When Brooke entered his life, he wanted her as soon as he set eyes on her. He wanted to deserve her. To make her see him as someone good and worth loving. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. He is this primal and passionate man that is completely raw on the inside. I loved him even more in this book, and I truly thought it was impossible, but I keep getting proven wrong, first with Mine and now with Remy.

If you've read Real and Mine, then you really have to read Remy. This book will have you swooning, crying and laughing all the same time, everything an amazing book should do. And let's not forget the hotness. Oh holy god, this book was so hot. Like I said before, I've already read most of it before in the previous books, but my gosh, these scenes were still hot and sexy and had the ability to get me all hot and bothered and needing more.

Fans of Remington, you need to read this book. It will bring you closer to Remy and give you a look inside his head that will have you craving him and loving him even more. To those who haven't read this series, you are missing on an amazing series with amazing characters. I don't know what you're waiting on, but you should absolutely get these books and delve into them!
